Here is my take. I wanted to try something new so I dusted off the sewing machine and tried it out :) For my background I used some felt orange polka dot. I used the sewing machine to stitch around the brown felt and to stitch the "create" tag to the brown felt. Lastly, I hand stitched the buttons to the fabric flower. Completely out of my comfort zone but I had fun!

gals!
this is just too exciting for me!! as you can tell, i get nothing done when i'm around you all. i think i'd rather chat (and eat pie :) most of my scrapping happens at night, when i'm done with the daily routine (with emma clawing at me, mind you), with my blackberry by my side so i can get constant feedback from j via the {blessed} bb messenger (will you two - n&a - get a bb PLEASE).
it's during these "convos" i get inspiration. SO, for the first challenge.. i propose we scrap our first picture, the one j just posted :) xo
cheers!

Edited: Wena, I have a BB -- its just old-school, ya know, it still has the side track wheel. LOL! The challenge is to scrap the photo? Hmm...don't get mad if I alter the photo a bit...or use the blurry one! :)
ready...set...SCRAP!

So let the scrapping begin! Here is our first picture scrapping together :) I know it's not the best picture but this was the least blurriest out of all the pictures. (On a side not - I totally LOVE how Fiona has her hand down Nette's shirt! I'm sure all of our kids still touch our own boobies!).
I have lots of ideas swimming in my head on fabulous things we can do with this site. I thought it would be fun to do a challenge once a month. We would all take turns "hosting" a challenge. The challenge can be anything - using ledger paper, using punches, do a layout without pictures, sew, use 3 different pattern papers, do a layout about yourself, etc. The possibilities are ENDLESS. And it's all for fun. A goal should be to use our stash!
We can even do something like they did at Studio Calico and do an embellishment swap - we make embellishments and mail to each other.
We can do a photo swap and scrap each other's pictures (Abby and I did this once!).
Any other ideas or thoughts?
xoxo
